Cut his teeth at UCT but only got to grips with Philosophy and English Literature while chopping onions in France, hiking the Himalayas, and teaching primary school children in Johannesburg.

With two years of experience as a freelance writer and editor, Matthew brings a keen eye for detail and natural way with words to bear on his work as a research analyst. Since joining The Moss Group in 2018, he has enjoyed contributing to a landmark report about the regional cotton industry, investigating the social impact of a skills initiative, and developing strategies for sustainable business in the South African wine industry.
